2021-2022

Inspired by bookmaking arts and chance improvisation derived from Merce Cunningham and John Cage, I developed a group exercise that I've done with all levels from undergraduate students to MFA peers. Everyone brings an image or finds one and they are integrated into a pre-made system of papers to form a booklet. We then pass them around to write a collective story and jumble them up again, reassembling the pieces into a new story.
