Winter 2021-2022

In 2021, I was fixated with the branching fractals found on wintering trees– their organized chaos revealed to the chilly pedestrian in branches that display self similarity to their larger host. While making photos, videos and prints from these branches, I am considering the idea that what is inside of our body– our blood vessels and our need for a pause– mirrors the natural systems we see in the trees around us– their branches and their loss of leaves for the winter months.
